What stays on your device

Quote files, photos, pasted text, prices, model numbers and contractor names are processed in your browser and never sent to us. Saved checks and systems in My home are stored in your browser's storage and nowhere else.

What we receive

• Price data files your browser downloads to run the check. Requests for them carry nothing about you or your quote.
• If you add your price: the area, your ZIP's first three digits, the job, the month, the total rounded to $50, and if known the size, efficiency band, brand, refrigerant, whether a permit was listed and the labor warranty years.
• If you ask for a second quote: what you type into that form (name, phone, and where asked email, ZIP, job, preferred time, note), the rounded verdict, and — only if you leave the box ticked — your address and the home size, age and heating you confirmed.
• While you type an address, the letters go to our server, which looks up matching addresses in OpenStreetMap's Photon service. We don't log what you type, and Photon sees our server, not you.
• Anonymous usage counts (for example, 'a check was completed'), with no identifiers.

Google Tag Manager and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google's measurement tags (Google Analytics, and Google Ads conversion tags when we advertise). They record which pages are viewed, the device and browser, the approximate location Google derives from the connection, and the usage counts above, and they set first-party cookies to tell one visit from the next. They never see your quote, and we take your street address out of the page address before they load. We don't send Google your name, email or phone number.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, or you opt out below, Google's tags run with advertising storage denied: no ad cookies and no data for ad personalization. Site statistics stay on.

Sharing and selling

We share a second-quote request with one contractor, only when you ask. Some state laws call that, and advertising cookies, a 'sale' or 'share' of personal information. You can opt out with the switch at the end of this page or by emailing us, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.

Bots

Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It doesn't set advertising cookies.
